Browsing and route choices
You can read the atlas without an account. The map, filters and route planner run in your browser. Route choices are held in the open page and are not submitted to a server. Downloading a route or message draft creates a file on your own device.
Optional device storage
There are no advertising pixels or analytics trackers in this site. The storage choices panel can remember your acknowledgement and reduced-motion preference in local storage only if you choose that option. You can remove those preferences by reopening the panel, unticking the remember option and applying the change, or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Contact form
The form sends your name, email address, chosen topic and message to this site’s contact handler. A necessary session cookie and matching form token help prevent unwanted submissions. The cookie is restricted to the site path, marked HttpOnly and SameSite Strict, and marked Secure when the site is served over HTTPS.
Accepted messages are stored in the site’s own protected inbox, with a receipt reference and submission time. A hash derived from the sender’s network address and site path is used to limit repeated submissions. The form does not subscribe you to marketing or send your message to an advertising service.
Retention and availability
The handler excludes entries older than 30 days when it processes a new submission and limits the inbox to 500 retained messages. This is not a guarantee of a daily automated deletion schedule. Hosting logs and backups may be managed separately by the site operator. No specific backup retention or hosting location is claimed here.
A message is only shown as received after the server reports successful storage. If storage is unavailable, the form displays an error and keeps your draft in the page. A downloaded draft is not a sent message.
Requests and questions
Use the contact form’s Privacy request topic to ask about information you have submitted, including access or deletion. Include the message reference if you have it; do not include sensitive identity documents in the initial request. The site does not claim a guaranteed response time.
Information you should avoid sending
Please do not include passwords, payment details, government identifiers or other sensitive material. The atlas does not need that information to handle feedback.
