Behind the folio

A map for
the curious eye.

Kelovashi brings the language of antique cartography to an imagined collection of crowns, gems and golden objects.

Why a treasury atlas?

A map makes a complicated world easier to enter. It gives us a beginning, a few landmarks and permission to choose a route. Kelovashi applies that idea to looking at art: each plate offers a different arrangement of texture, shape and colour.

The objects are fictional. No image is presented as a record of a historic collection, and no route leads to a real destination. The atlas is an independent creative experience, free to read and explore.

How the images are made

The original illustrations were digitally created with generative image tools and selected for this folio. They use the visual language of gold engraving: fine hatching, stipple, drawn ornament and limited ruby and ivory accents on a dark ground. They are not antique prints or photographs of physical artefacts.

Made to be explored

Read a plate, filter the collection, enlarge a detail or build a fictional itinerary. The tools run in your browser. A route download stays on your device; the separate contact form only sends the information you choose to submit.

A considered pace

Keyboard access, readable text and layouts for smaller screens are part of the experience. If something makes the atlas difficult to use, tell us which page and what happened. We cannot promise an individual reply, but a clear report helps identify the problem.
